Paige Megan Hawley

Artist

From London, based in Rochester, Paige is a Photographer, Curator and Activist.

Paige's work is driven by her experience of when she was raped, making her want to act for a social change.

She captured her emotions 'Turning a Negative impact into a Positive' through the concepts of the photographic development of film. The projects expanded from this theme and lead onto many exhibitions, and other art projects. This is when Paige became interested in curation and she also became the founder of Nasty Women London, which later led on to Nasty Gallery, a platform for unrepresented women in the arts.

“ Photography is a way of feeling and expressing. Capture the emotion, develop from the negatives, stop the process, move forward by fixing the situation with a piece of art”

Paige is also a life model and uses her self documentary as a real-life canvas for life-drawing classes, incorporating performance art.

Paige is also working on a new photographic project; At Arms Length is an ongoing photographic campaign which was started in 2017.

Paige has her my own studio which is a safe space for women to come and she can share her healing process with you. This space is about reclaiming the narrative, empowering voices, and creating a community of understanding and support

If you are interested in participating, please email paigemegan.hawley@live.co.uk or you can submit your story via her website and find the page “At Arms Length”.
