A collaborative exhibition highlighting the photography and personal reflections from Sixteen of Sun Pier House’s resident Artists, offering a behind-the-scenes look at studio life.
Vessels of Memory - The Halpern Gallery
Venezuelan artist Gledys Ibarra presents her first solo exhibition in the United Kingdom with Vessels of Memory, a series of recent paintings exploring memory and the recurring motif of the vessel.

Free Wellbeing Workshop 2 - 3pm (just before our regular Teen Art session 3- 5pm)
We are excited to announce we have been generously given a FREE Emotional wellbeing & resilience workshop for our Teen Art group, by Amari Rae FDN CIC through their National Lottery funded, "Together We Rise" programme.
Designed to empower young people through engaging, interactive workshops and mentoring support, this is open to our current Teen Art group and anyone new.
Please come and enjoy this session, (adults/carers are welcome too) then stay on at Teen Art to get creative with us!
Free drinks and snacks will be provided!

Young at Art - Embroidery
In this exciting beginners workshop, you will be introduced to Jacobean crewel embroidery to create a beautiful Bumble Bee.
Using Appletons crewel wool, which is lovely to work with (and forgiving for beginners!) you will learn 4 different stitches; Split Stitch, Trellis stitches, Block Shading & a Whipped Wheel.
Guest Artist LucyAnn Trill has over 20 years of teaching experience, having previously worked as a secondary school teacher and is a diploma graduate from the Royal School of Needlework.
Medway Lens - The Halpern Gallery
Medway Lens is a new, open-call exhibition celebrating the diverse photographic voices across Medway — from hobbyists and students to emerging and professional photographers.
This is a space to be seen, be archived, and be part of Medway’s growing visual culture.
Led by The Black Art Hub CIC, Medway Lens brings together community, creativity, and cultural documentation through photography, film, and video.

The Art of Belonging - The Halpern Gallery
The Art of Belonging, a community arts project delivered by Demelza and funded by Hospice UK for Dying Matters Awareness Week 2026, the national campaign encouraging open conversations about death, dying and bereavement.
Through a series of creative workshops, families supported by Demelza and members of Medway’s diverse communities have explored memory, connection and belonging. The exhibition brings together their artwork, reflecting shared stories, emotions and experiences.
Creative Medway Meet-Up

A get together for creatives and artists to chat, learn, discuss ideas and get support. Each month there is a guest speaker.

For the bank holiday weekend only, we return with our annual Sweeps Festival Art swap!

Oceans - The Halpern Gallery
Medway School of Arts students have been commissioned by The Historic Dockyard Chatham to produce creative responses inspired by their 2026 theme of Oceans for this community exhibition.
The work on display responds to the brief set by The Historic Dockyard which asked students to make work that documents or celebrates, or explores myths & narratives, relating to The River Medway and Dockyard.
