Unity of the Sincere
Viacheslav Malyna Solo ExhibitionUnity of the Sincere is a solo exhibition of Ukrainian artist Viacheslav Malyna, who has become a soldier during the large-scale invasion and is currently at the frontline.
The central part of the exhibition is dedicated to the artworks from Viacheslav’s series from 2018-2022 Unity of the Sincere that shows the proud and at the same time delicately elegant aesthetics of the prickly herb, as a metaphorical image of people or societies capable of resistance and defending their own space. "Beauty that harmoniously maintains the boundaries of responsibility and the level of openness for interaction remains in bloom longer."
Viacheslav’s artistic dialogue with the world is based on a detached yet deeply engaged view of simple things that exist in a subtle space on the boundary between TOUCHES OF MEMORY and DREAMS. These two are inseparably connected and amplify one another. This is about looking aside — as a way of embodying a desire for a certain solitude that occasionally arises in every person, in order to preserve one’s inner spark.
To realize these ideas, he works with various materials that are most suitable and accessible, yet it is acrylic painting that most often allows me to convey the precise emotional state I seek to express.
The exhibition is part of the Month of Ukrainian Art in Medway, a series of exhibitions by Ukrainian artists organised by the IDENTITY Community, running from March 5th to April 7th at Halpern Pop Rochester and The Halpern Gallery Chatham.

Embroidered Codes
Group Exhibition‘Embroidered Code’ is a contemporary art exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian embroidery and its evolving cultural language.
Moving beyond tradition, the exhibition explores embroidery as a living code of identity, memory, and craft. It reflects on how inherited patterns continue to shape us - even as we transform them in response to present realities.
The participating artists reinterpret, deconstruct, and respond to Ukrainian embroidery, approaching it through contemporary practices that question, preserve, and reimagine cultural identity.

VESSELS OF MEMORY
Gledys IbarraVenezuelan artist Gledys Ibarra presents her first solo exhibition in the United Kingdom with Vessels of Memory, a series of recent paintings exploring memory and the recurring motif of the vessel. The works emerged gradually in her studio, evolving from quiet, introspective compositions to a broader exploration of form, scale, and colour. Across the series, some paintings are restrained and contemplative, while others are more expressive, reflecting the range of her engagement with memory and material.
The exhibition is part of Ibarra’s sustained studio practice, developed alongside her career as an actress. Alongside her exhibitions in Venezuela, including Casa 22 Gallery, El Hatillo, Caracas, she has participated in cultural initiatives such as the Latin American Awards by LA United, London, in collaboration with Latin American House, where her works were presented and auctioned.
