This is a FREE fun-filled day of art and science activities for all ages!

MEDWAY FUN PALACES TRAIL 2026

• Nucleus Arts Main Centre, 272 High Street, Chatham 11am - 4pm

Visit us on the day for lots of fun activities including our Share Skills Studio, Green Screen Hub and Graffiti Gazebo.

We will also be joined onsite by a team from The Historic Dockyard Chatham who will share the mischievous story of Barnaby Bilge and provide fun craft activities.

Medway Sound Lab - The Black Art Hub - Be part of creating a Medway Community Song!

Play an African finger instrument, make rhythms, experiment with sound, sing or hum.

• Science & Environment Lab - Pentagon Centre, Chatham - 11am - 4pm

Nucleus Arts - Dr David Stokes - Brain Lab, Docking Station with Digital Workshops, Icon Theatre - Help build an ideal town,

Medway School of Pharmacy - DNA Phenotype Keyring making & Ink Chromatography Art Project.

Child Friendly Medway will also be in the Pentagon 11am - 4pm with a fun activity for children using air dry clay.

• Intra Arts - 337-341 High Street, Rochester ME1 1DA - 2pm - 5pm

Learn how to identify mushrooms, see fascinating tiny features with a microscope, and make fungi-themed creations with scrap materials (supplied by Intra’s neighbours Zigzag Scrapstore) to take home.

• Sun Pier House - Medway Street ME4 4HF - 1pm - 3pm - An afternoon of free have-a-go activities

Mess Room - Sun Pier House, Medway Street ME4 4HF - 1pm - 3pm

Try simulated spectacles to experience common eye conditions, then spin up your own artwork in a salad spinner — centrifugal force will do the work. No two are ever the same. Fun, colourful and easy for anyone to join in. Make and take your artwork home.

• Electric Medway - Sun Pier House, Medway Street ME4 4HF - 1pm - 3pm

At our Tech Station you can:
- Have a go at creating a stop motion animation using objects and iPads
- Play 'To Whom it May Concern' - an arcade game created by participants from our Men in Tech project in 2025... can you climb to the top of the leaderboard?
- Meet the team and find out about our upcoming events, including Men in Tech, Cinema Club and Createch meet ups.
