Following a wonderful summer show 'Common Ground' at The Halpern Gallery we are fired up for our December exhibition.
100 under £100
Wouldn't it be great to give people the opportunity to buy something brilliant: created by an artist at an affordable price? We are not asking you to lower your prices. We are asking you to see if you have smaller work, older work, prints of more expensive work, experimental work or anything that you could sell below £100. And to make the title work - we need ONE HUNDRED artists to take part.
We understand that selling low price items means that commission will diminish any income you may make. So, for this exhibition only: the submission fee is £10, and commission is 10%.
We invite you to submit up to 4 pieces of work, and guarantee that at least one piece will be included. We are looking forward to an eclectic artistic offering designed to entice and enthral; we attract experienced professional artists as well as those at the beginning of their practice.
The 100 under £100 Winter Open Exhibition will run from:
27th November - 23rd December 2026 in The Halpern Gallery, Chatham
Please submit your piece/s digitally for a fee of £10. At least one piece per artist will be selected. In addition, all artists may bring exactly 10 greetings cards, and up to 5 prints to be included in the exhibition. There is 10% commission on sales.
All artworks must be for sale. For this exhibition, anything sold can be taken on the day, so it is helpful if the pieces you submit are the same size.

HUMBUG: Halpern Unique Makers Bazaar of Uncommon Gifts
To celebrate the opening of this show and the festive season, we are hosting another HUMBUG event. Exhibiting artists will be invited to bring small handmade items to form a curated stand of artist-made gifts for one day only. More information TBA.
Submissions by midnight on Monday 16th November please. You will be notified no later than 20th November.

Winter Open 2026 Terms and conditions
Submissions open: 12th September 2026
Closing date: Midnight on 16th November 2026
Artists notified: No later than 20th November 2026
Delivery date: Thursday 26th November, 9:30am - 12pm. Location: The Halpern Gallery, Chatham
If you are unable to deliver on this date, please contact us and we will try to accommodate.
Private View: HUMBUG! Saturday 28th November, 11am - 4pm at The Halpern Gallery, Chatham.
Exhibition dates:

Entry requirements:
1. Artists must be 18 or over
2. Entries will be accepted in 2D or 3D medium, including photography. AI imagery will not be accepted.
3. Artwork supplied must be original and created by the artist(s) named in the application.
4. All exhibited artwork MUST be for sale.
5. Size: we reserve the right to open negotiations if artworks submitted are too large.
6. Nucleus Arts will take 10% commission on all sales.
7. There is a £10 fee for up to four submissions of which at least one piece will definitely be included in the exhibition.
8. Entry is taken as consent to reproduce entrant’s artwork for publicity purposes.

9. Enter via Nucleus Arts website.
10. Complete the on-line application form below, attaching one hi-res digital photo per piece.
11. Payment can be made via the online form.
Please note: Due to the increasing popularity of this exhibition we have had to put a limit to how many artists we can display. So the earlier you submit the better, as there is a possibility that the submissions will close when the limit is reached.
