In 2022, Chatham held a community town centre carnival for the first time in 20 years!

This year promises an even grander experience, amplified by the University of Kent's renowned Medway bOing festival, bringing an explosion of family-friendly excitement to both Chatham's bustling high street and the Pentagon Shopping Centre.

Chatham Carnival will host the beloved Chatham Intra food market, where visitors can indulge in the diverse global flavours offered by Intra's eclectic array of independent restaurants.

Inside the Pentagon Shopping Centre, unleash your creativity by crafting cone hats in honour of Chatham icon Thomas Waghorn, adding a touch of local flair to the celebrations.

Our parade starts at 12pm, travelling from the Church Street junction along the High Street to the Paddock. Expect an enchanting procession featuring community groups, acts, and sports clubs from across Medway's rich cultural tapestry, including awe-inspiring dragons and towering puppets!
