Linoprinting onto Clothes (Evening Course)
October 26th 2016
6pm - 8:30pm
This is potato printing for grown-ups! In this evening workshop you'll be create a linocut to produce a repeat pattern or a one-off motif to give new life to old clothes.
Have some clothes that you like but they need brightening up? Got some baby grows that could do with jazzing up? Clothes that have a few stains that need covering? Bring them along!
From Robots to Flowers to Cacti to Cats – pick a theme and create your very own linocut and get stamping! Small pots of fabric medium and tools will be able to purchase for those wanting to do some more stamping at home.
You will be guided through the design and linocut making process in a small, friendly group.
You'll get to take your linocuts* with you to carry on printing at home - we guarantee they'll last longer than a potato.
This workshop will be led by Rachel Moore of i-printed-that who has been running workshops, school clubs and holiday workshops since 2005 so you’ll be safe hands! She is based in Rochester, Medway and covers Kent and areas of Surrey and East Sussex.
All printing materials are supplied but you must bring between 1-3 items of clothes (or canvas bags) that you would like to work on. Prints are permanent after ironing and will be fully washable at up to 40. Paints are non-toxic.
