KATE NEAME

The beauty of nature and our landscape constantly inspire me. However, it is the essence of an object or place that appeals to me more than the specific detail. I aim to strip back the subject to the bare minimum and am intrigued by the point at which the representational meets the abstract.

I originally qualified as an architect and practised in my hometown of Faversham for 10 years. I graduated from The University of Creative Arts in Maidstone in 2013 with a Diploma in Fine Art and Design where I studied printmaking.

I work mainly from my home in Wateringbury. Each linocut and screen print is a limited edition and is hand printed. These are numbered and signed on fully archival paper using only water based paints and inks.
